Guided Inquiry Example:
Fear of Crime in Hamilton-Wentworth
The following is the combination of three types of material:
- notes that only the instructor has
- overheads and handout task sheets, and
- overheads for feedback (where the instructor records ideas from the
groups and provides additional information)
The situation description is a handout provided to each student. Once
students have read this (and are divided into groups of 3-6) each group
can be given task 1.
Under each task the material provided here is in the following order:
- Task Description (used as an overhead or handout to groups)
- Note to instructor on feedback.
- Overheads used to gather feedback from groups or to report additional
information before proceeding to the next task.
