BA (Honours) Economics, Queen's - gold medal in Economics - 1968
MA Economics, Essex - Commonwealth Scholar - 1970
PhD Economics, Toronto - Canada Council Scholarship - 1971
Employed at McMaster since 1971 - Full Professor since 1982. Visiting positions at three government departments, seven universities (in Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia), and Research Fellow at the C.D. Howe Institute since 1994.
Research and Publications
80 articles published in both academic and policy-oriented journals such as the Economic Journal, Economica, Oxford Economic Papers, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of International Economics, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Macroeconomics, Canadian Journal of Economics, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Canadian Public Policy and in numerous reports published by policy institutes in Canada. 140 seminar and conference presentations of research results.
