University Task Forces on Learning Technologies often contain recommendations on the role of instructional technology issues in tenure, promotion, and merit policies and practices.

• McMaster University:
  • Task Force on New Learning Technology: This has an entire section on the relationship between technology, and tenure and promotion issues. (Download Word and/or Wordperfect Versions)
  • Beehive: This was a 1997 proposal to set up a Faculty Development Centre at McMaster that would integrate instructional and technology support for faculty members.
