NBTel is a confirmed partner of EvNet. With the strategic goal of delivering educational multimedia content to New Brunswick business and the public, NBTel is developing itself as a lead firm in the delivery of commercial multimedia distance education products. Distance education and training programs aimed at the adult population, and delivered in multimedia format, are a component of NBTel's planned portfolio of service to be delivered across its provincial broadband network. NBTel will sell these services in support of their distance education strategy and the Province's strategy for workforce retraining. NBTel was a strong supporter the TBL.CA Centres of Excellence application and sent key personnel to organizational meetings and to the final presentation before the panel in Calgary on March 2nd, 1995. NBTel's interest in relation to this EvNet letter of intent is in the assessment of the most effective educational communications and multimedia services for different segments of the population. These educational products will include university credit courses, community college courses, continuing education courses, and workforce re-skilling.
