Sociology 2R3: Theories of Class and Stratification


Poulantzas constructed a theory of class that stressed structures rather than individual personalities. This theory suggested a working class largely consisting of male industrial blue collar workers, and a large new middle class, which he called the "new petite bourgeoisie'.
